Lezo is a personality. Under the beautiful corners of Jaizkibel, overlooking the port of Pasaia and as far as Gaintxurizketa, Lezo embodies the personality of Oarsoaldea. The Church of Santo Cristo is one of the most amazing temples in the Basque Country, as it houses one of the three beardless images of Christ in the world. Legend has it that he came from the sea. Is it true? At least that is what so many people who have come as pilgrims from Gipuzkoa and other places have believed!

The town centre is made up of magnificently preserved palaces and elegant houses, starting with the town hall, some of which date back to the Middle Ages and others from the modern era.
