Fishing for marine litter

This activity combines practical participation with environmental awareness in the setting of MATER. Participants will take part in a sailing activity focused on understanding marine environmental conservation, learning about the origins and impacts of marine litter, and exploring everyday actions that contribute to protecting the marine environment.

The activity includes:

• Sailing at sea with a focus on teamwork
• Introduction to responsible care of the marine environment
• Explanation of how waste reaches the sea and its environmental impacts
• Overview of practical solutions applicable to daily life

Notes

• Activity not accessible to people with reduced mobility
• Suitable for participants aged 12 and over
• Comfortable footwear and weather‑appropriate clothing are recommended
• Activity confirmation takes place 48 hours in advance and depends on sea and weather conditions
• The activity is free of charge and requires a deposit to guarantee attendance
• A €5 deposit per person will be refunded upon arrival at the activity
